Mária Kolíková is currently serving as the Minister of Justice of the Slovak Republic. Prior to that, she has worked as managing partner at law firm Kolíková & Partners and as Director of the Centre for Legal Aid . She has a rich career history at the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic, having served as State Secretary twice. In 2012 she was an external advisor to the Minister of Justice of the Czech Republic. She is an alumni of the Comenius University in Bratislava, Faculty of Law, and has lectured at the Faculty of Law at Trnava University. She has been working an advocate since 2003.
