Holger Fabian Sahl serves as a strategic analyst at the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex), headquartered in Warsaw. At Frontex, he provides the strategic picture of the EU external borders to decision-makers and is the lead author of the Frontex Risk Analysis Unit’s flagship publication, the Annual Risk Analysis. In his previous role, Holger Fabian Sahl served on the International Staff at NATO HQ in Brussels. Other experience includes stints at the European External Action Service, the United Nations and the German Embassies London and Pretoria. Sahl is a graduate of Stanford University and the London School of Economics and was named a John C. Whitehead Fellow (US Foreign Policy Association), Fellow at the Stanford Center on International Conflict and Negotiation and Carlo-Schmid Fellow (German Academic Scholarship Foundation). He was recognized as a Young Leader by Atlantik-Brücke and a New Security Leader by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation.
